Introducing the $UOS Tokenomics Revamp
1. Tokenomics Revamp
Our tokenomics, originally set in 2017 and last updated in 2019, have served us well, but the world of Web3 is evolving fast. We’re adapting to the changing landscape with a focus on transparency and a stronger alignment with the needs of our community. We’re making these changes because we believe in building something that lasts.
- New Wallets: We’re creating new wallets to ensure clarity in how our resources are managed, reflecting our commitment to responsible growth. These include:
- Ecosystem Rewards Wallet: Designed to support and grow the Ultra ecosystem. This wallet will be used to reward those who contribute, whether they are active participants or builders on the Ultra blockchain. It’s about giving back and ensuring that the Ultra community continues to thrive.
- Operations Wallet: For covering Ultra’s essential costs, such as company running costs, audits, and infrastructure maintenance. We’re committed to running a lean, efficient organization, focused on creating maximum value with the resources we have.
We’ll be moving some $UOS from existing company wallets into these new ones. We’ll be transparent about these moves and provide notice to the community.
- New Vesting Schedule: In line with what today’s market expects, we’re implementing a new vesting structure for several company wallets. We’re re-locking tokens, as 90% of all $UOS has already been vested and unlocked.This brings more security for token holders, balancing flexibility with long-term vision. 2. Staking
We’ve listened closely to your feedback, and we’re excited to introduce a new staking program for $UOS holders. This is about rewarding the long-term supporters who have stood by us and believed in the vision of Ultra.
- Ecosystem Perks: Stakers will unlock special rewards like WL spots, partner airdrops, early game access, and even early access to exclusive opportunities.
- Earn Different Tokens: Starting with Ashes of Mankind, staking $UOS will let you earn $ASH tokens and valuable in-game resources. These rewards will vary seasonally, integrating with AOM’s in-game economy. Over time, more games will follow, but we’re starting strong with AOM.
- Automatic $UOS Market Buy Mechanism: A particularly exciting feature of the staking program is the automatic market buy of $UOS. A portion of every in-game fiat purchase will be used to buy $UOS, fueling staking rewards. It’s a sustainable reward loop, powered by the success of Ultra’s games.
- Synergy Between $UOS and $ASH Staking: The $UOS staking program will complement, not compete with, AOM’s dApp. You’ll be able to enjoy extra rewards by staking both, creating a symbiotic relationship between Ultra’s ecosystem and Ashes of Mankind.
3. Block Producer Pricing Restructure
We’ve always believed in listening to the people who make Ultra what it is. Based on your feedback, we’re restructuring block producer pricing to create a more sustainable payout system. This updated pricing will ensure balance and fairness, especially when token prices fluctuate. It’s part of our commitment to building a stable and reliable ecosystem for everyone.
