During the 2023 GAM3 Awards, we unveiled our exclusive FPS to the world. We can’t wait to share more about Project Citadel, but until then, you can follow Project Citadel’s X account to keep up with sneak peaks and other important updates.
We launched the first-ever digital tradable game!
The first-ever digital tradable game was launched in December, marking a huge milestone for both Ultra and the gaming industry! Josh Journey, published by our partners at Provincia Studio, is the first official tradable game on Ultra.
With the introduction of tradable games, players can resell purchased games or trade them with friends, engaging in forgotten fun dynamics that used to be possible when games were distributed in physical form.
All games are officially tokenized on Ultra!
With Josh Journey leading the charge as the first tradable game on Ultra, every game on Ultra is officially tokenized!
Each game on Ultra is transformed into a digital token, unlocking a world of potential perks. Think of special in-game bonuses, rare items, and ultra-exclusive content.
We can’t wait to see the rewarding experiences and perks that developers provide through game tokenization.
First leaderboard completed on Ultra Arena!
During December we hosted our first leaderboard event on Ultra Arena. Fall Guys was the game of choice for the leaderboard, with 7 tournaments taking place.
The leaderboard was a huge success, with up to $2k worth in prizes being rewarded and claimed by players. Congratulations to the winners!
PC gaming industry study!
In December we revealed the initial findings from our survey with Atomik Research. 2,000 PC gamers from the US and the UK provided profound insights into the current state of PC gaming. Through this, we gained valuable perspectives directly from the gaming community, shaping a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the PC gaming landscape.
These findings affirmed Ultra’s vision, addressing many of the potential pain areas mentioned in the study.
We’ll release a full whitepaper in January with an in-depth look at the survey results.
